Laguna Prieta Update: Encouraging Progress and New Opportunities
Ministry report from BCMS missionary Job Florestant
We are pleased to report continued progress in Laguna Prieta where, by God´s grace, our ministry efforts are yielding encouraging results.
During our recent visit, we engaged in community outreach and evangelism, distributing refreshments and visiting with individuals, including a new mother and a woman who is due to give birth next month. They normally attend but couldn’t due to their circumstances. We were also able to connect with several new individuals, share the Gospel with them, and obtain contact information for future follow-up.
While technical difficulties prevented us from capturing photos and videos last night, we were able to share live updates via Facebook during the teaching session. In the live Facebook video, you can see the group with their new Bibles, learning how to find passages and repeating the main verse of the teaching out loud together. The group shared refreshments after the study.
We are grateful that several individuals who were unable to attend expressed their intention to join us next week. In God’s providence, many of the attendees are acquainted with one another, either through family ties or shared hometowns. This has facilitated a strong sense of community and has helped accelerate our efforts to establish relationships within the area. Praise the Lord.
We remain optimistic about the future of Laguna Prieta. We are thankful for the opportunity to minister in this community and are expectant to see how God will continue to work in the hearts of those we have reached and are reaching for Christ.

The ministry of (CMC) serves hundreds of missionaries, but they ONLY receive the funds for us and in no way have control over how the funds are to be spent or what we are to do as a ministry, which gives room to be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading and the liberty in making needed adjustments.
You may begin sending your support to the BCMS (Antonio Salgado) at any time at the address above. (Checks should be made payable to Central Missionary Clearinghouse or C.M.C.)
You can also now give to the ministry here in the DR online through the new giving solution called “click and give” at the CMC website.
To get started, you just need to click on the link below and register the first time. Just a simple click on the donate button on their page (see link below), and then click the “click and give icon/button”.

For tax exemption, you must send your donation through Central Missionary Clearinghouse (CMC) at the address above. But the PayPal option is the fastest way to get funds directly to the field.
We do not use a sending agency that gets a percentage of the money donated, and there are no employees in the USA making a salary. The BCMS team all live and work overseas, so you can be sure that your gift goes directly to the mission field.
Whatever you decide, thank you so much for reading this update. Grace and peace.
